As a Research and Instruction Librarian at Indiana University Libraries, Ted Polley supports research and learning across several social science subject areas. He aims to collaborate with researchers throughout the entire research lifecycle, foster student learning, and build diverse collections that support research and teaching. He also has a keen interest in helping researchers at all levels make their work openly available and in promoting open science.

Prior to joining IU Bloomington, Ted worked as a librarian at IU Indianapolis (formerly IUPUI) for 10 years; he held several positions, including Director of the University Library Center for Digital Scholarship (2020-2024), Digital Publishing Librarian (2016-2024), and Social Sciences Librarian (2014-2020). He has an M.L.S. from Indiana University Bloomington (2012) and a B.A. in political science from the College of Wooster (2008).
